NOTICE ON EXPANSION VALVE

This is a standard Alco Expansion Valve, Model #TLCE (size) HW.

These valves come from the factory pre-set. For the proper super heat do

not try to adjust the super heat on this valve unless you call the factory

service department. The Alco valve is one of the most reliable parts. I

this valve needs to be changed out, you do it without losing the R-22

charge. To do this, turn the receiver off at the liquid line to the expansio

valve. Then pump the system down until you just have two or three

ounds of gauge pressure. Remove the power element and install

replacement power element, open the receivers liquid line valve. TEST

FOR LEAKS

and restart the unit. Remember, call the factory before yo

do any work on the expansion valve.
